Boxbe – Saying ‘good-bye’ to the Public Email Address

July 6th, 2012 by Admin

As new features are implemented, certain offerings need to be sunsetted. The PFA/Public Email Address is one of those offerings we are now letting go.

If you use an @boxbe.com address (like randy@boxbe.com), please be aware that this service will be discontinued, within the coming few months, and will no longer be offered.

Our members are able to continue to use their email screening preferences and personalized guest lists to make sure they are receiving the mail they want, while sorting out unknown and unwanted messages.

Boxbe now fully integrates with Yahoo! Mail (and others like sbcglobal, etc.), Gmail, AOL Mail and Google Apps. We highly recommend using one of these services in order to continue leveraging the power of Boxbe service’s policy screening with your email.  Simply click here to register your Yahoo, AOL, or Gmail account with us.

Just like with the latest addition to our service Automatic Cleanup, we plan on continuously improving our integrated services and furthering our goal of helping to manage inboxes the way you want them to be.

We are notifying our members early enough to give you time to re-route your email to another address, if you are currently using the “@boxbe.com” address ID to send to your contacts.

Thank you for your continued use and support of Boxbe!

Please write to support@boxbe.com if you require any assistance for any Boxbe service issues.

Boxbe – Automatic Cleanup

Introducing a new feature in Boxbe! We have now added a feature that will enhance the control you have over your email in an exciting new way. It’s called Automatic Cleanup, and it will help Boxbe users achieve supercharged management over the volume of email they want to receive, delete, or keep by creating screening rules.

You will now be able to create ‘rules’ that will allow emails from certain senders and list senders to be kept (keep your last 3 emails from your Yahoo! Group subscription, for example), deleted (after receiving 4), and marked important if you don’t wish the rule to be applied to a specific message… Your personalized rules can be edited, removed, and created again, just by clicking on a link in the annotation of the email message. Making things more precise and convenient.

We think this new feature will help you to keep those heavy-lifting email accounts the way you want them, and we look forward to sharing future features yet to be released!

To our existing members, if you would like to use the new Automatic Cleanup feature, click the “Edit” link next to the email address you wish to enable it on, here:

Boxbe – New and Improved

June 13th, 2012 by Admin

Boxbe offers its service for free…exactly how we like it. We realize that with more resources, we will be able to continue to offer and improve the Boxbe service, for free, to all of our members. And that’s why we have great news!! Back in February 2010, Boxbe attracted the attention of eDataSource, a leading provider of competitive intelligence. At that time eDataSource and Boxbe became partners, and last summer (in 2011) they agreed on a plan to merge operations that would help the continued innovation of features provided by Boxbe. eDataSource has recently completed its acquisition of Boxbe.

Additionally, Boxbe would like to announce that there will be upcoming changes to the service that will give our members greater control over which commercial emailers (online stores, clothing brands, etc.) can reach their inbox. This will include tools to automatically manage the frequency of incoming email newsletters, providing for a cleaner inbox.

“Consumers are overwhelmed by the amount of commercial email they receive, and we’re talking now about the email they actually want. But sifting through it and processing email is a chore. We aim to help consumers by fixing this problem,” said Thede Loder, founder of Boxbe and new CTO of eDataSource.

If you don’t already know about the Boxbe service, click here to see how Boxbe works! To all of our existing userbase – thanks for making Boxbe popular.

There are more new features coming soon!
